We are located at 68 degrees North in Northern Norway in the city of Narvik. Our scout group was founded in 1951. Today we have about 30 scouts, both boys and girls.
We are members of Norway's Scout Organization, the World Organization of Scout Movement (WOSM) and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
We have weekly meetings, go on trips every month, and we have our own scout house for meetings and a cabin on the mountain that is frequently used
Northern Norway's nature is great for outdoor activities, and we usually take advantage of that instead of going abroad for scout camps. Some of our members have attended the World Scout Jamborees in the past.
The city of Narvik is a small town of 18 000 inhabitans close to the Lofoten islands and the Swedish border (Lappland region). The city was formed to ship iron ore to mainland Europe from Sweden because the Golf Stream makes our fjord ice free all year long.
